How to prepare silicone gel on the surface of copper foil

Experimental materials: liquid silicone, copper foil

Experimental objective: To uniformly coat liquid silicone onto the surface of copper foil using a tape casting coating machine, dry the film in a vacuum drying oven at 90 ℃, and then measure the thickness and uniformity of the dried film using a digital micrometer.

Experimental process:

① Raw material mixing:

Firstly, mix the liquid silicone raw materials in a 1:1 ratio. The mixed liquid silicone is filled with bubbles, and the liquid silicone is placed in a vacuum sample storage container to vacuum the tank and expel the bubbles in the liquid. Repeatedly vacuum several times to completely eliminate all bubbles in the colloid, thereby reducing the impact of bubbles on the thin film.

② Sample coating:

Before coating, start the vacuum pump to fix the sample on the vacuum sucker, then adjust the mechanical micrometer at the tip of the scraper to set the coating thickness of the film. The coating thickness of the liquid film in this experiment is set to 50 μ m. Suck out the defoaming liquid silicone with a rubber hose, squeeze it into the scraper of the film applicator, set the coating stroke and speed, and then turn on the coating machine to coat the copper foil.

③ Film drying and thickness measurement:

Firstly, set the oven temperature to 90 ℃ before preparing the film. Turn on the oven and heat it to 90 ℃ for use. Then, transfer the coated film (to prevent wrinkles on the copper foil) to the DZF-6020 oven for drying, with a drying time of 1 hour. Measure the film with a micrometer after the sample is dried
